Ages and Stages Training

Available Training dates:
  1. Two-part Training via Zoom: April 12th & 19th | 6pm – 8pm
  2. In Person Training: May 25th | 10am – 2pm
  3. One day Training via Zoom: June 7th |10am – 2pm

The Ages and Stages (ASQ) Questionnaires are screening tools used to help identify developmental and social-emotional needs in early childhood. Participants will learn about, ASQ-3 and ASQ SE-2, and receiver a starter kit for each screener.

EIR Child & Adolescent Clinical-Psychosocial Intervention Continuums

May 23rd & 24th | 8:30-4:30 

Using a multidisciplinary approach Eastern Iowa MH/DS clinical and psychosocial staff will investigate and build intervention continuums using applications of the Traumatic Stress and Neurosequential Models of Development to further refine and develop EIR child-adolescent evidence based clinical and psychosocial services.

St. Ambrose University’s Trauma Informed Care Microcredential is open for registration!

St. Ambrose University’s School of Social Work and Department of Psychology is proud to announce  our second offering of the Trauma Informed Care Microcredential.  The Eastern Iowa Mental Health and Disability Services Region will once again be sponsoring 20 scholarships to raise the capacity of our Health, Human Service, Education and Justice systems to serve with Trauma Informed Care principles.

Scholarships are available on a first come, first serve basis to individuals who serve families, youth or individuals within Jackson, Clinton, Muscatine, Cedar and Scott Counties.  To apply for a scholarship, send an email to Jennifer Best at bestjennifera@sau.edu. You will be sent a Google Link to answer some short questions.  You will be contacted about the status of your scholarship request, based on the number of scholarships available.

Children’s Sequential Intercept Mapping Conference, January 2023

Using a System of Care approach, the Eastern Iowa MH/DS Region will complete a Sequential Intercept Mapping (SIM) exercise to increase collaboration between institutions. At the conclusion of the workshop a Community Action Plan will be developed, and a Cross-Disciplinary Team will be established to oversee children’s services.
